Tuli residents urged to plant bamboo

Forest and Raw Materials Contractor's Association celebrated its silver jubilee on November 27 with MLA/advisor NBDA L.Temjen Jamir as chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest advised the people to turn their attention on horticulture, agriculture and allied farming since Tuli was a potential area for establishment of industries with enough water resources, raw materials, road connection and availability of cheap labor. The chief guest urged the people to plant trees and bamboos to feed the paper mill and also to preserve the environment. The MLA/advisor who toured Tuli constituency from November 24 to 28 was accompanied by director RD Metsubo, DIG vigilance James Yaden, DCF Amen Yaden, joint director RD Imlimeren, project director DRDA Mokokchung Imotemjen, BDO, CTN Lanu Lemtur, team member NBM, NBDA Alem Longkumer and Kumzuk Jamir. Further, meeting of village council and VDB members was held at Tuli town on November 26 which was attended by parliamentary secretary RD and REPA Pangngu Phom and was represented by Merangkong, Asangma, Molung Yimsen, Molung Yimsen B (Luyong), Wameken, Kangtsung, Anaki, Anaki Yimsen and Anaki C.
