General meeting DIMAPUR: A general meeting of the share holders of the star multipurpose cooperative society has been convened on December 6, 10 a.m at the society building. All members have been requested to attend the meeting and to submit old cards for renewal, failing of which, the society informed, would imposed fine of rupees hundred. LLVSU session DIMAPUR: Annual session of the Lio Longchum Village Students’ Union (LLVSU) has been convened on December 27 at Lio Longchum village. Union president, E.Benthungo Tsopoe has informed all its villagers residing in the village or at town and requested all the students, senior leaders, elders and well wishers to attend the session. Further, an executive meeting has been convened on December 21, 1 pm at the residence of union general secretary. VDB RD block DIMAPUR: Annual general meeting –cum- pre Christmas celebration of VDB Association RD block Tseminyu has been convened on December 5, 10 a.m at block office Tseminyu. All VDB secretaries, women VDB secretaries and block office staff under RD block Tseminyu have been requested to attend the meeting. WCS DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Wokha Circles Students’ Union (WCS) has been convened on December 3, 10 a.m at Wokha rest house. All silver jubilee organising committee have been requested to attend the meeting. SDP & DB meet DIMAPUR: Chiephobozou Sub division planning and Development Board (SDP&DB) meeting –cum- picnic has been convened on December 5, 11 am at Chietsu site for Air port. ADC, Rovilatuo Mor has requested all respective department, members under Chiephobozou jurisdiction to attend the meeting. TUBC Jubilee DIMAPUR: Tesophenyu upper Baptist church (TUBC) will be celebrating its Golden jubilee from December 12 to 14, on the theme “Darkness to light”. Music committee secretary, Mohenchung Magh has requested all its choir members to attend the final practice session scheduled on December 6 and 7 and informed its members to reach the village by December 5. YSU conference DIMAPUR: General conference of the Yisisha Students’ Union (YSU) will be held from December 27 to 29 at Yisi village. Union general secretary, Taru L. Tapu has requested all executive members including student, leaders, institutional departments of four villages to attend the session. LOU,DHEP Co-ordination meet(must) DIMAPUR: Co-ordination meeting of Land owners’ Union(LOU), Doyang Hydro Electric Project(DHEP) and the officials of DHEP has been convened on December 5, 11 am at IB conference hall Doyang. Union president, Y.Odyuo has requested the GM/DGM and his team of officials to attend. TVYO grateful DIMAPUR: Tening Village Youth Organization (TVYO) has expressed gratitude to MLA 6th Tening A/C, Tari Zeliang for constructing a full size standard ground at Tening Village and appreciated him for taking keen interest in the developmental activities of the people of Zeliangrong in general. The organization further thanked the party members of Tening village under the leadership of DCCI vice president Peren, Hulungbo and appreciated them for fulfilling their long awaited dream. PCC Christmas concert DIMAPUR: Patkai Christian College (PCC) will be organising its annual Christmas concert on December 7, 2 pm at college Chapel- auditorium .According to Director of music PCC, Margaret A. Shishak, the concert would feature piano, organ, vocal music, string ensemble, and selections from the oratorio MESSIAH by Handel with 2 guest soloist. The college has extended welcome to all besides inviting public to check the new music building which is under construction. LBC jubilee DIMAPUR: Golden jubilee celebration of Leankongru Baptist Church (LBC) will be held from December 12-14, on the theme ‘Deep rooted in the reign of Christ’. The golden jubilee planning committee and office bearers of LBC has invited all citizens of Leankongru village residing outside the village and has invited three representatives from every church under the Yimchungru Baptist Borubo Amukhongto. PBSSU DIMAPUR: Purana Bazar Area Sumi Students’ Union (PBASU) has mourned the demise of its members finance secretary Hukato Achumi who passed away on December 1. A condolence message issued by Union general secretary Vicky Achumi described late Achumi to be a person of great potential who served the union whole heartedly for the welfare of the union. Union has expressed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant peace to the departed soul. CTC notice to shop owners DIMAPUR: Chumukedima Town Council has reminded all business establishments to whitewash respective shops, fix Christmas stars and to illuminate hoardings with light bulb by December 5. In a notification issued by deputy chairperson, CTC, V. Zenelie Angami, CTC has banned use of firecrackers during the festive season in view of the “deteriorating law and order” situation. WASU Cultural celebration DIMAPUR: One day cultural celebration of the Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) would be held on December 17, at Kohima local ground on the theme ‘Folk Shindig’. According to union president, Zhaviser Casavi, the event would focus on the ‘Cultural Cynosure’, basing on the seasonal-cycle of the lunar calendar, followed by a musical concert with some renowned artistes from Meghalaya, Mizoram and Kohima. World Disability Day DIMAPUR: Enable, a group working to create awareness and fight for the rights of people with special needs will be observing “World Disability Day” on December 3, 9 am at Heritage, old DC Bungalow with minister for medical, health and family welfare, Kuzholuzo Neinu as chief guest and chaired by administrator, Joyance preschool, Chanda Sahi. Further, a short walk under ‘Walk for change’ would be inaugurated with a prayer from Pastor Shan Kikon of Faith Harvest Church, Kohima 8 am at Old MLA hostel junction. CSU informs DIAMPUR: Chumukedima Students Union (CSU) has informed all shops and business establishments of Chumukedima to remain open till 7 pm every night upto January next year instead of 8 pm as notified earlier. CTC has further informed that any act of vandalism like breaking shop light bulbs,street lights,tearing of Christmas decorations will be dealt severely. Union Press and information secretary, Vibu Doze has expressed gratitude to chairperson CTC, Neichuu kuotsu and Rotaract club Chumukedima for their contribution rendered towards Christmas decorations. CMO notifies DIMAPUR: Quarterly medical Board for confirmation of service, invalidation for grade III and staff under Dimapur district has been convened on December 16 and 17, 10 am at the office of the chief medical officer Dimapur. TBHJ annual nite- cum- pre-Christmas DIMAPUR: The 2nd annual hostel nite-cum- Pre-Christmas of Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama (TBHJ) will be celebrated on December 4 , 4 pm at its hostel premises with executive engineer, directorate of irrigation and flood control, Kohima, Eyono-o Kharutso as the speaker and Tihot K. Chishi as chairperson.
