Airtel to spread its wing to all the eleven districts of Nagaland

The cellular company Airtel is soon expected to spread its wing to all the 11 districts of Nagaland. "Soon Airtel will touch Kiphire and Longleng districts of Nagaland" revealed by Mr. Sudipto Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Airtel NESA while addressing a press conference here at Hotel Japfu , on Sunday. It is learned that Airtel connectivity has reached 9- Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, and Zunheboto out of the 11 districts with around 1200 families directly or indirectly benefiting from Airtel in terms of employment in Nagaland. Mr. Sudipto also disclosed that in November there were about 1.10 lakhs Airtel subscribers and with a market share of 30 % in Nagaland. He also said that Airtel is sponsoring the prize money of the Hornbill National Rock Contest winner with a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs. Mr. Sudipto said Airtel is not only serving customers in Nagaland by providing a superior telecommunications network , but is closely associated with the Naga people in promoting their culture and that Airtel is committed to bring in world class communications in Nagaland , Northeast and India. He also said that Airtel works to promote health care, education and is also closely associated with music, culture and sports promotion in the North East region and informed that the company has been sponsoring numerous programs across the region. Meanwhile Mr. Gugs Chishi, project director of Music Task Force (MTF), YRS said the prize money of Rs. 5 lakhs would directly go to the musicians and thanked the Airtel family for their efforts. He also hoped that the bond with Airtel would continue in the future.
