In connection with issue of supernnuation, the Naga Students’ Federation has stated that the federation was always ready to exercise its moral and responsible will to resolve and bring a settlement to the issue. The federation in respect to the assurance of the government in writing that “a bill will be introduced in the next session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly of Nagaland to make legal provision for fixing the maximum length of service for the state government employees” had officially suspended its ongoing agitation on November 23 for the government to exercise its political authority and wisdom. NSF has maintained that under any circumstances, the interest of the people should not be hijacked or sabotaged and is confident that the implementation of 33 years length of service would soon become a reality. The federation has further acknowledged and appreciated the apology of the chief minister for the delay in the implementation of the length of service. NSF has also extended its gratitude to all federating units, subordinate bodies, college principals and proprietors, students, Naga Hoho, NPMHR, Naga Mothers Association, former leaders of NSF and the general public for their unflinching support in the process of addressing the superannuation issue.
