KSU Eagles’ trophy DIMAPUR, DEC 11 (NPN): Eagles’ Club Kandinu Station has informed that the biannual 6th Eagles’ football trophy which was scheduled to be held during the general session of the Kandinu Students’ Union from December 27 to 31 has been suspended till further notification. Regretting for the inconvenience, president Eagles’ Club, Senenlo Kath in a press release informed that the decision was taken owing to “technical problem” during the emergency consultative meeting on December 7 with members, organizers, seniors and well wishers. NCPF sports meet DIMAPUR, DEC 11 (NPN): A badminton and chess meet is being organized by the Nagaland College Principals’ Forum (NCPF) for the principals of all the colleges in the state from January 8 to 9 at Patkai Christian College, Seithekiema whose principal has consented to host the event. Informing the participants to bring an entry fee of Rs 300 per head, NCPF president, C. Khalong Ao in a press release has requested all the constituent college principals to take part in the sports meet. All have been asked to report at the venue by 9 a.m sharp on January 8. SGSA informs DIMAPUR, DEC 11 (NPN): The Sumi Games and Sports Association (SGSA) has requested all the different Sumi games and sports associations under Nagaland to affiliate themselves under SGSA with a fee of Rs 1000 at the earliest. Meanwhile, SGSA has also informed that the inter constituency football (men) and volleyball (girls) tournament has been postponed to March 2009. Sixer cricket tourney DIMAPUR, DEC 11 (NPN): Pezu Buba Zungar Club is organizing a Sixer Cricket Tournament from December 20 to 21 at the State Stadium DC Court Road, Dimapur. The Club’s general secretary informed that the entry fee was fixed at Rs 350 and that the winners and runners up would receive a cash award of Rs 5000 and Rs 2500 respectively. Individual prizes would also be awarded. Only limited teams would be entertained for the tournament. It further informed that the forms were available at Kiran Sports and King Sports in Dimapur and the last date for the entry is December 19. Open V’ball trophy DIMAPUR, DEC 11 (NPN): The 1st Open Volleyball Trophy organized by Falcon Club, Mangkolemba would be held from January 22 to 26 at Mangkolemba. According to the club president, S. Temsu Lkr the registration would start from January 5 to 18 the fee for which is Rs.2000. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 along with trophy while the runners-up would receive Rs. 20,000. Registration forms can be collected from Assest A.M. Road, Mokokchung; Glitzy I.M. Road, Mokokchung; Moiler Tent House, Duncan junction near El-Shaddai School, Dimapur and Kiran Sports, Dimapur. PACSU meet KOHIMA, DEC 11 (NPN): The 12th general session cum 2nd PACSU Open Volleyball Meet 2008 of the Pungro Area College Students’ Union would be held from December 18 to 20. All the members and federal representatives have been asked to attend the session positively. The union has informed that fine would be imposed on the absentees as per the resolution of the union.
