To expedite disposal of pending pension cases, department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR), the nodal department for pension management, has directed all heads of departments and administrative heads to compile all pension cases on or before December 20. All pending cases of pensions would be disposed off at the earliest and the payment of pension should be paid to the retiring employees on the day of superannuation, an official bulletin stated. Department of P&AR has stated in an office memorandum that if no pension case were found pending, each heads of officers should certify no pending case. On completion of such pending cases or no pending certificate, the heads of department should submit to department of P&AR through their respective administrative heads. HoDs have been directed to compile categories of pending cases as in heads of officers (DDOs) wise, pending cases in the directorate office and cases submitted to AG but pending for want of clarification. The office of AG had agreed to organize special pension disposal day (Adalat) in each month on 15th day (or the next day it happened to be a holiday). First pension Adalat has been fixed on December 15, 10 a.m. at office of DGP for disposal of cases relating to Director General of Police (DGP) office. An official bulletin further stated that delay in disposal of pension cases would be responsible to heads of offices, HoD or any other officers and staff for recovery of penal interest as laid down in the pension Rules. All AHoDs and HoDs have been requested to give top priority to pension cases and to ensure that all pending cases were disposed off.
