NLA speaker inaugurates GPS building Jotsoma

Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kiyanilie Peseyie Friday inaugurated the new school building of Government Primary School at Phezhu, Jotsoma. Lauding the government for constructing new building for students, Kiyanilie said the building would serve as an inspiration in pursuit of education and urged teachers to contribute their best efforts as they were paid handsome salary by the government. He said Jotsoma was privileged to have primary and high schools as well as colleges and for which he challenged the people of Jotsoma to set an example in education and morality to other people. District education officer- cum -coordinator, District mission authority of Kohima V. Meyase, also speaking at the occasion asked the people to take care of government property as individual property. Highlighting the objective of communisation in Nagaland he asked parents, teachers and students to play equal role in taking students' education to greater heights. The new school building was funded by SSA with Rs. 3.60 lakhs while the village contributed Rs. 21,000/- for completion of four rooms, apart from two- room proposal of the department and chief guest donated Rs. 25,000/- for the refreshments.
