Clarifying on the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio’s statement, “A section that is not part of the solution cannot deny they are part of the problem” during NPF General Convention, Tuesday at Kohima, the NPF has said that the statement did not pinpoint towards any particular group or section. NPF, associate press secretary, Shilumar Ao in a press release said the statement carried the message that all should be a part of the process towards oneness. It said Rio was clear in his statement that achieving understanding and oneness was the collective responsibility of all sections and that he had appealed the Nagas to come forward with initiatives and contributions towards achieving this aim. The NPF said it had never termed the Naga national workers as “militants” and accused the Congress of calling them “militants and insurgents”. The NPF said it could furnish documentary evidence to prove the point. It also said that the DAN government has been tirelessly working towards better understanding among all sections of the Naga people and affirmed not to allow the “divisive policies” of the Congress to come in the way.
