Karma Riders - a 5 member of young German Cycling Tourists as part of their expeditions to cover the distance of 5000 Km in Europe and Asia, are arriving at Dimapur on November 27. The team have already covered the first 2500 Km cycling 16 states of Germany, that was flagged off last September 2008, with the support of the German National Cyclists Organization, German Railways, German National TV, the Indian Consulate in Germany and thousands of fans and well wishers in Germany. Their Germany leg expeditions was coordinated by Dr. Martin Kasper, a former Managing Partner of Accenture and Founder of the Child Aid Network. The Indian phase of their expeditions is coordinated by the Don Bosco organization and the Don Bosco Alumni. The Asia leg of the expedition will cover the next 2500 Km in 5 North East states namely- Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur. Since mid of October they have covered the states of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. They will arrive at Dimapur from their Assam leg of the expeditions by 3.30 pm on November 27, and will head to Kohima and Manipur on November 29. During their trip across the North Eastern States, they will interact with the young and old people of the region with the message of solidarity, friendship, self-reliance and adventure especially among the youth of the world, to instil them faith in the power of determination to achieve one's goal, to savor the captivating natural beauty, and learn first-hand the rich cultural heritage of the diverse population. Meanwhile, the Coordinating Committee cordially invites mass participation at the reception at Nagaland Gate on NH-39 at 3.30 pm on November 27, while they will cycle around the city on November 28 between 9.00 am to 11.30 am. In this connection, young people who have bicycles and wish to cycle along with them on November 28, may register themselves with the coordinating Committee by e-mailing their bio-datas (name, age, sex, address, education standard and contact no.) and recent passport photo to be attached at or They may also contact Agay Joseph, teacher, Don Bodsco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur (94360-15635). 60 cyclists, who register first on or before November 25, will be chosen.
