Kesangü Suokhrie crowned ''Miss Kohima 2008''

After a tough contest of beauty and wits, Kesangü Suokhrie was crowned ‘Miss Kohima 2008’ from among 11 participants. The annual beauty pageant “Miss Kohima 2008” organized by Hill Fusion was held here Friday night at State Academy Hall with eleven dazzling damsels walking the ramp to cling the coveted title. A stiff fight to grab the crown started off with ethnic round followed by designer round, and evening gown round. Subsequently the list of contestant was pared down to eight. From the list of eight, five were shortlisted for the final round. However, eventually Kesangü Suokhrie (contestant 1) was crowned Miss Kohima 2008 while Mhaletuonuo Keditsu (contestant 10) bagged first runner up and Vitsizonuo Keyhuo second runner up title respectively. Among the three sub-titles Keneizakienuo Belho (contestant 6) won Miss Photogenic title; Naomi Ringa (contestant 4) was chosen Miss Beautiful Hair and Keneisenuo Rame (contestant 9) bagged Miss Perfect 10. The judges of the beauty pageant comprised of Sentiakum Aier, assistant general secretary, BASN; Sentienla Ababe, former Miss Nagaland; Watila Molier of Eastern Mirror and Amen Longkumer of Sisterhood. Other highlights of the event included fashion show and song presentations by different groups. The show was compered by Asen Jamir, hosted by Khrielie Nakhro and choreographed by Anilo Khing. Sponsors of the show included Vodafone, NSACS, Neo Vision, Computer Concept, Niathu Garden, Zopard, Spearhead, Nise Meruno, Hotel Viewpoint, Hotel Fira, Ring of Fire. (Correspondent)
