Angangba vill attains 50 yrs

Angangba village guard celebrated its golden jubilee on November 22 with Konngam Konyak, MLA Nagaland Kohima as chief guest. During the occasion, various awards were presented to those who rendered their tireless service, Ashok Chakra-II awarded to Dobashi-cum-Area Post Commander late Mükhimong, Governor's Commendation award to late Subedar Major Z. Ongto and M. Thsikumkyu and Commissioner award to C. Threnso were presented for their distinguished services. Acknowledging the contribution by predecessors, chief guest exhorted Angangba VGs to strive harder and march ahead for higher excellence. Stating that the service of village guards was indispensable in the society MLA suggested of creating a separate directorate for administrating the village guard. MLA while speaking at the occasion said jubilee celebration was high time to realize past deeds and to march ahead for a better society. Short exhortations were delivered by Y. Y. Sangtam, ADC Longkhim, Commandant VG Tuensang, Rev. James T. Sangtam, M. Khumpise Spl. Head DB Longkhim and Hothrongba Hd. GB Angangba village. The occasion was highlighted by special number by blooming voice band, parade contingents led by Band Platoon, 3rd NAP Tuensang and cultural troupes from different villages.
