State RJD leaders refute news item

State Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) general secretary, Vikugha Sema apropos to news item "State RJD members resign; join NPF" appeared in a local daily November 19 in which his name was also mentioned has refuted that it was "totally false and baseless." Party general secretary in a release claimed someone might have used his name for their personal interest and political gain, adding it was "absolutely" against his will and decision. Further, state RJD leader has requested the responsible person, who implicated his name not to repeat such false statement without his knowledge in the future. He said that it was tantamount to character assassination. In a separate press statement, former RJD candidate from 54 Tuensang A/C and party state council member, N Kaimang Chang has clarified that his appearance in "RJD deserter group photo" appeared in local dailies November 23 was done without proper understanding and lack of proper explanation by the group about the present situation of the party. Reaffirming his stand, Chang declared that he was committed to work for RJD under the leadership of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Khetovi Kinny. Further, state council member has apologized party members and officials for "arising confusion in the party set up due to lack of understanding." Meanwhile, RJD Mo-kokchung unit office bearers and executives in an emergency meeting held November 24 at the residence of RJD unit president, R. Lima Pongen has unanimously resolved to extend continuous support and work under the leadership of RJD Nagaland president, Khetovi Kenny for the uplift and of the party. Unit general secretary, Bendang Lkr in a press statement said Monday.
