MP stresses on development of HR

Foundation laid for DNSU office building cum library; estimated construction cost at Rs. 23 lakh MMember of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Khekiho Zhimomi Tuesday said development of Human Resources (HR) was necessary for rapid development in the society. MP was speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) office building -cum -library here at Police Colony as chief guest. Zhimomi while stressing on human resource development further said due to lesser growth in human resource the society was at stake, “costing the lives of citizens and hampering development in the society today.” He reiterated that development in human resource was much needed for a flourishing society. Lauding DNSU for their proposal of establishing library facility, MP said it was an ambitious and noble project terming it as “bank of knowledge.” MP donated Rs. 50,000 and further assured to extend help and service till the completion of the project. Earlier, delivering short speech DC Dimapur, Maongwati Aier also expressed happiness over DNSU’s plan of setting up library alongside the project. DC said only reading would make one a global citizen. He expressed hope that with coming up of library facility, many global citizens would be produced. Aier asserted state had very rich human resource, and added it would create wonderful results in the society. “If we have to come up, we have to concentrate on education and human resource development,” for which he urged local student leaders to concentrate on education. Naga Council, president, Savi Leigise; DSP, Y E Ngullie and business community member, Nirmal Jain also spoke at the occasion and assured to extend their support towards the construction. DNSU construction committee member, Phushika Awomi briefing on construction outlay said it was estimated at least Rs.23 lakh for the building project. He also pointed out that proposed building would be of three storied, where ground floor would be allotted for commercial use – to gain income and meet the expenses of office maintenance, while first and second floor for official purpose – office and library. The project is estimated to be completed over the next 24 months.
