PVFMWS towards development

Phenchu Valley Farmers' Multi-Welfare Society (PVFMWS), after its establishment in 1999 has organized first sales day on November 5 at Wokha town by selling various agricultural products including vegetables, fruits and indigenous handicrafts for which they have decided to hold the sales day annually after seeing the response from the public. According to a press release issued by the society's chairman, Nrikhon Tsanglao, the society has decided to contribute a part of amount from the sales day towards developmental activities for downtrodden in the village, cash awards to outstanding students from the farmer's community, incentives to old and aged farmers in the village. The society also stated it has open a joint account where sales proceed from the agricultural production has been deposited from time to time for which it hoped to be a 'Model Farmer's Society' for Lothas and Nagas in general.
