NGO appeals medical authority

Renth Youth Mission Foundation, an NGO from Baghty, Wokha has made an appeal to responsible in-charge of medical department not to misuse the 'ambulance' allotted by the government by 'keeping' it in their private residences. Executive director of the foundation, N. James Murry in a press release lamented that it was sad to see the ambulances parked in private residences instead of hospitals as he felt that District Medical Officer (DMO), Wokha, and the people were struggling for many years for better coverage of transportation and medication CHCs, Bhandari and Sanis, where the patients from remote areas could be covered for better medical treatment. Meanwhile, the foundation has extended gratitude to department of health and family welfare, Kohima and its departmental officials including principal director, Dr, Kumuni Kathepre, director, health and family welfare, Dr. M.A Ezung, former CMO, Wokha, Dr. Nchumbemo Ezung, additional CMO, Wokha, former medical minister, Dr. Myingthungo Lotha and present medical minister, Azo Nienu. Further, the NGO has also appealed the area public to cooperate with the medical department.
