LSU 48th general conference held

Longtsung Students' Union (LSU) held its 48th general conference December 29 and 30, on the theme "Longtsung yithako ji tona enunga" at Zero point with medical superintendent, civil hospital Wokha, Dr. Ntsemo Mozhui as chief guest and pastor LBC, Longshithung as speaker. Delivering address on the occasion, chief guest exhorted the students to exhibit their inner quality, which was imprinted in them, so that they could excel themselves. Others who spoke on the occasion included union's first president, Chenithung Mozhui and former president Kontsamo Mozhui. Earlier, invocation was pronounced by Morasali Ovung and welcome address was delivered by union president N. Mhabemo Mozhui. Highlights of the conference included debate, extempore speech, quiz, singing competition and a volley ball competition. Union in a release said it also elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2009 with Merilo Mozhui as president and Jerry Mozhui as general secretary. It has further expressed gratitude to all the well wishers and programme official for their participation and making the conference a grand success.
