AR organises medical camp

Assam Rifles in its continued endeavour for upliftment of the living standard of the locals organized a medical camp at Aghunato village in Zunheboto district on December 13, 2008'. The camp was organized by 27 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) under the direction and supervision of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles. According to a defence release, a medical team comprising one doctor and four nursing assistant of 27 Assam Rifles and two doctors and three nursing assistant from civil hospital, Zunheboto attended to the medical problems of the villagers and offered free medical to 385 men, women and children. Speaking on the occasion Commandant 27 Assam Rifles appraised the civil administration and local people for their help in conducting the medical camp. Commandant 27 AR informed the local people that 27 Assam Rifles under Headquarters 7 Sector, AR is going to start the construction of two Water Storage Tanks at Sakhalu and Luvishe village very soon and further informed that in near future Assam Rifles would be organizing recruitment rally for local youth and extended his help in training local youths for recruitment in Army and Para Military Forces. The medical camp was appreciated by the locals as it was of the immense help to the poor people who cannot afford transportation to the hospital and exorbitant medicines. Meanwhile, the village council also expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the same and requested for another camp in the near future.
