Residents of Lerie colony today joined the rest of the state in celebrating Pre-Christmas at the St.Mary's School ground, Lerie here today. Dr. Nicky Kire, MLA and Chairman, KVIB Nagaland in his greeting on the occasion lauded the colony for showing unity among the different tribes and community living in the locality in coming together to celebrate the Pre-Christmas. Our Saviour Jesus Christ came to this world to save mankind and if we love one another there'll be peace in this world. Christmas is not only to make enjoyment but we should re-dedicate our live to God. "If we made peace with God, there'll be peace in this world." Rev. Yabang Walling, Pastor of Lerie Ao Church in his Christmas message reminded the gathering that celebrating Christmas without Christ would be like celebrating a child's birthday without the child. Earlier, Fr. George Anthony, Principal, St. Mary's School Lerie in his greeting said that Christmas begin from the heart of God and till complete only when it reaches the heart of the people. Pre-Christmas such as this takes us out of our own self made boundaries and reach out to the poor and needy and love and be loved. The Pre-Christmas was organized by Lerie Women Organization in collaboration with Lerie Youth Organization and Panchayat.
