Tuli underdeveloped due to obstacles: CM

State government has declared Dimapur and Tuli as industrial areas, but due to many obstacles, Tuli areas are still undeveloped, therefore the government is making all effort to develop those areas at all cost for the benefit of the people' said state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio. He was speaking at a public meeting organized by Merangkong village council at Milak river bank, Tuli on December17, an official bulletin stated. State chief minister also appealed all the people of the area to refrain from village, area and regional politics but to work together for bringing development to the area. He stressed on the fact that "the world is changing very fast therefore we need young and energetic leaders to lead us for the future generation." Replying to various memoranda submitted by the respective villages of Tuli area, the chief minister assured to give all possible help to develop their area. State chief minister was accompanied by home minister, Imkong L. Imchen, planning minister, T.R. Zeliang, power minister, Doshehe Sema, minister for agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry, parliamentary secretary, Pangnyu Phom, MLA and chairman NIDC, Noklutoshi, MLA and advisor NBDA, L. Temjen Jamir, additional chief secretary, Alemtemshi Jamir and director bamboo mission, Norman Putsüre. Besides DC Mokokchung, police officials, government officials, public leaders and NPF party functionaries attended the socio-culture programme organized by Merangkong village council members.
