Longon inaugurates Mongko EAC hq

Newly created EAC headquarter at Mongko under Shamator sub-division, Tuensang district was formally inaugurated Thursday by state minister for soil and water conservation, land resources development, P. Longon. Delivering inaugural address, P. Longon said DAN government was actively working hard in bringing development to all the areas in the state. Urging the people of Mongko under Shamator sub-division to support the present legislator, so that he could bring more development in the area, the minister called upon the people to continue extending support to DAN government under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio. Parliamentary secretary fisheries, printing and stationary and relief and rehabilitation, S. Heno, who also spoke at the occasion, said present chief minister Neiphiu Rio led DAN government has given lots of help and development to the Tuensang and Mon district and solicited more support from the people in the days to come to the DAN government. Parliamentary secretary IPR and economics and statistics, R. Tohenba; parliamentary secretary CAWD, T. Torechu Nagaland commissioner, HK Khullu and Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) chairman also addressed the gathering. Cultural song and dances marked the inauguration of the EAC headquarter at Mongko.
