‘Make use of talent to glorify God’

Naga Council president, Savi Leigise, Friday called upon the youths of Nagaland to make use of their talents to glorify God so as to fulfill and create a better society. Speaking as chief guest at the culmination programme of the three day ‘Spunk 3’ youth festival organized by “Hushmind” here at DDSC stadium, where the finals of ‘Spunk 3’ Aria (Beat Contest) and Troupers were conducted, Savi said every youths are important in the eye of God and has bless them with many talents for which he encouraged the young minds to make use of it to make a living and to glorify God. Lamenting that world over people are facing turmoil and experiencing the sound of bombs and guns, the Naga council president however felt that youths in Dimapur are the ‘luckiest’ as they are enjoying the ‘blast’ in the form of music- heralding the advent of Christmas and also glorifying God. Stating that 45 percent of total populations of Nagaland are youths in the age group of 15 to 35, he lauded the organizers of the festival for creating a platform to let the youths come under one umbrella and enjoy the talents of each other when some people doesn’t get the kind of opportunities. He later gave away the prize to the winner of Spunk trouper contest which was won by ‘Psycho Flickers’. The winning troupers walked away with a cash prize of Rs.10,000, mementos and one promotional show. Judges for the Trouper’s contest were Rahul Verma, Kapil Jain and Kashito. Meanwhile, Spunk Aria (Beat Contest) was bagged by Flag of Rebellion, Dimapur. They were awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000.
