Women police bags best contingent award

Nagaland Women Police, led by ASI Ms. Sedevinuo Dzüvichü bagged the best contingent award among the armed contingents at the Republic Day Parade. In the Unarmed contingent category, 66 Nagaland Independent Coy NCC was adjudged the best while in the school Category, Sainik School Punglwa bagged the best contingent prize. All the participating contingents, flag bearers and working party, Kohima district football veterans, Dimapur district veteran team, football match officials and Kohima Village Pipe Band were also awarded. The prize was given away by State chief secretary Lalhuma. Meanwhile in football exhibition match Kohima District football Veterans Association (KDFVA) beat Dimapur District Veterans Association (DDVFA) team 2-0 . The goals were scored K. Neibou Sekhose and K. Kire. A dog show by Assam Rifles also formed part of the Republic Day celebration and the band display by Brass Band of Nagaland and Pipe Band -26 Assam Rifles and the Beating of retreat.
