NPCC president and MLA K.V. Pusa Saturday said peace was prerequisite for any developmental activities in the society; everyone had to contribute to bring about peace.
“Everyone is shouting for peace today, and peace will come when everyone is busy engaged contributing to the society in their own way of life”, Pusa said while addressing inaugural session of Southern Angami Students’ Union, 59 biennial general conference held at Viswema village Panchayat Hall here today.
“Southern Angami area is one of the most peaceful environment today”, he said while pointing out the lavish scenic beauty endowed on majestic Japfu mountain range one of the riches Bio-diversity, provided the best sources of water, with soothing climatic conditions and fertile soil suitable for all types of agricultural crops. In this regard, Pusa called upon people of the area to contribute to ongoing effort of bringing about a permanent peace in the state.
Dwelling on theme of the conference “Probity of a student’s life”, Pusa reminded of the life of forefather who lived a progressive life because they were independent, harmony, honesty, truthfulness, hardworking and obedience to the community by strictly following their tradition and cultures.
While referring to modern society, he pointed out that Southern Angamis had already celebrated 100 years of Christianity and must strictly follows the teaching of the Bible and live a true Christian life as our forefather did with their religion in the past.
On the other hand, he reminded the student that there is no substitution to hardworking and asked them to emulate their forefather and work hard to achieve in life.
Earlier, the inaugural function began with invoking God’s blessing by Khrüsene Kikhi, Chairman, Pfütsana Viswema.
The programme was followed by Presidential addressed by SASU President, Pueyo Lcho and exhortation by Phelukhwe Kirha President, SAPO and greetings from ASU president.
