U-14 cricket coaching camp ends

A three day state level U-14 cricket coaching camp cum selection of trials organized by Nagaland Cricket Association culminated on January 30. According to cricket development committee of NCA, A. Rahman this was the first state level coaching camp held for U-14 age group after NCA attained associate affiliation from BCCI and it has enabled Nagaland to participate in junior tournaments in zonal level. Altogether 53 participants representing 8 districts of Nagaland took part in the camp, conducted under three level ‘A’ coaches of BCCI from Nagaland namely- Atha C Angami, Keviselhou Sekose and Nehal Ahmed. Both practical and theory classes on spirit of game, physical training, captaincy, fielding, batting, bowling and a special theory class was conducted on umpiring by Moses, convener of NCA umpire panel. Meanwhile, the NCA has lauded State chief minister and president of NCA, Neiphiu Rio, general secretary NCA, Abu Metha for their concern for the development of cricket in Nagaland at the junior level. It has also thanked YRS, groups/association and officials for their participation and to Kohima District Cricket Association for hosting the camp.
