Governor completes two years in office

Governor K Sankaranarayanan completed two years in office today. Speaking at a function held at Raj Bhavan to commemorate the occasion, the Governor thanked his staff and other officials for their cooperation and sincerity in their duties. The Governor also released a booklet of his selected speeches. Secretary to the Governor, Abhijit Sinha in his speech said the Governor has been conveying his thoughts through various forums for the betterment of the State while congratulating him on completing two years in office. In his foreword on the booklet of the selected speeches, the Secretary said the Governor has come to have a strong and enduring impression on the minds and hearts of the people of Nagaland. The year gone by has seen the Governor shouldering the enormous responsibility of guiding the State for a few months during the President’s rule and the general elections to the NLA was also held during this period, he said. He also made a mention that the Governor has taken keen interest in the issues concerning youth, students, children, ex-servicemen, activities of NEZCC, Red Cross Society and Bharat Scouts and Guides, an official release said.
