A three-day state level special training on empowering trade union for socio-economic development of the state was held from February 5 to 7 at conference hall, tourist lodge, Dimapur.
The programme organized by central board of workers education, union ministry of labour in collaboration with state department of labour was participated by trade union leaders from Dimapur and Peren.
Assistant labour commissioner, Haizing Zeliang speaking at the inaugural function as chief guest lauded regional directorate, Imphal for organizing the training programme.
He said that such training would benefit trade union leaders and workers and let them know the latest rules and regulation of the Act and advance their organisation for socio-economic development of the state and nation.
"If one is capable no one on earth can stop one progress," Zeliang said.
Further, he urged them to cooperate with district administration, police and labour department while running their organisation.
The three days training concluded successfully with participants expressing gratitude to workers education centre, Imphal for educating them on trade union.
