BSS celebrates Trishul Utsav

Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), Dimapur branch and Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS) from January 10 to 12 celebrated Shri Shri Trishul Utsav cum annual prize distribution at its auditorium with Naga Council (NC) president, Savi Liegise gracing the occasion as chief guest. Speaking at the ceremony, NC president lauded teachers, students and PVHSS management for its brilliant academic performance, a release issued by PVHSS principal stated. Liegise also expounded on humanitarian activities of BSS, the release stated. Conveying his regards for late Manik Bhattacharjee, Liegise said Bhattacharjee was a man who was not bounded by any caste, creed or religion. School principal delivering annual report highlighted academic performance of the students in HSLC and HSSLC examinations in 2008. He also paid homage to late Manik Bhattacharjee, founder secretary of the schools. PVHSS principal also invited cooperation from all responsible for the smooth functioning of the school. School headmaster, who also spoke on the occasion, emphasized the practice of tolerance among all. Others who spoke on the occasion included, NC senior councilor, W Mero and N Datta, while the whole ceremony was 'blessed' by joint secretary BSS, Kolkata, Srimat Swami Hiranmayanandji Maharaj. The programme was followed by colourful cultural extravaganza. BSS on January 11 organized peace procession where hundreds of people took part. The Utsav culminated January 12 with religious congregation and a universal peace Yajna in the presence of Srimat Swami Hiranmayanandji Maharaj, Srimat Swami Gurupadanandaji Maharaj, BSS Dimapur in-charge Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj and other Monks of BSS.
