Changkikong Students' Conference (CKM) has appealed government to step in to solve the poor road connectivity of Changkikong Range.
CKM officials at an interaction with visiting ministers headed by minister planning & co-ordination T.R Zeliang on Tuesday at 'Milak River' bank submitted representation for development of roads in Changkikong Range. CKM said the area was being neglected for a long time which has caused untold hardships to people of the range.
A team of ministers and MLAs visited the Integrated Land Development Project (Haiti Project) at Khar village.
Interestingly, the route for Ministers' entourage started on Tuesday morning from Tuli side covering almost all villages of Changkikong range before halting for the night at Milak River bank at Khar. The Minister is understood to have taken note of the prevailing condition of the road and for which he has assured to extend help for the problems faced by the people of the range.
Changkikong range starts from Changki village to Loyung (Molungyimsen) covering a length of 65 km. The entourage included minister G. Kaito Aye, minister Nyiewang Konyak, parliamentary secretary Er. Saku Aier, deputy chairman state planning board Neiba Kronu, MLA & advisor L. Temjen Jamir besides a host of senior government officers, party functionaries and public.
