Naga Idol runners-up releases debut album

Naga Idol 2.07 runner up, Aosunep Jamir Monday launched his debut album "Born Free" here at Rhythm 802 restaurant. The album was released by ADC Mokokchung Asenla Keitzar, who attended the launching programme as guest of honor. Speaking before the release of an album, ADC lauded Aosunep and termed him as example of dedication and hard work. She said that many competitors of the Naga Idol competition have disappeared from the public but added that Aosunep was working hard for the album. She expressed hope that album would be acclaimed and appreciated by all. Meanwhile, later after the release, Aosunep interacted with presspersons, wherein he disclosed about himself and about his debut album. Hailing from Chungliyimsen village, Mokokchung Aosunep Jamir is second son of Takayangba. He said he began singing since childhood and that he had a dream about making his own album, whereby people would sing his songs one day. He added that by releasing the album, his childhood dream has come true. When queried about any credits for the album, he credited it to his parents, who he said gave him much needed help and support. His debut album, Aosunep said was dedicated to the people of Nagaland. The album contains ten songs, with inclinations to the soft rock genre. The songs mostly stresses on social messages, gospel and love songs.
