Personal body guard of deputy commissioner, Tuensang identified as one Constable Mukhiba Yimchunger (No. 1496 ABC) son of T. Thungren of Longtoker village has decamped with three Sten Carbines, three Magazines and 220 rounds of ammunition on January 17 at around 6 p.m. Taking serious note of the “undisciplined conduct” the PHQ has decided to take the most stringent exemplary action against the erring personnel, said a press statement issued by DIG of Police (Hqrs) PRO, L. L. Doungel (IPS). The PHQ has warned any Organization not to entertain the deserter Constable, if he approaches them with the intention of joining their Organization but to apprehend him and hand over to the State police along with all the service weapons so that suitable disciplinary action could be taken against him. It requested all Organizations to extend their co-operation so as to check indiscipline. It also requested the general public to disassociate themselves “completely with such disloyal and treacherous characters”.
