Naga Lawyers Guild, Delhi (NLGD) has felicitated two of its members, Edward Belho and Enatoli K Sema on their appointment as standing counsels for Nagaland in Supreme Court of India and for being first Nagas to take up responsibility of representing the state in the apex court. NLGD has also expressed gratitude to state government for reposing its faith upon Naga lawyers and for bestowing this prestigious honour. It expressed confidence that two newly appointed standing counsels would do their best in bringing justice and in carrying out their professional tasks which have been assigned to them. "With Nagaland poised to take off for newer heights in this increasingly globalised world, it is only appropriate that our state should also be infused with professionals hailing from our own very state in every discipline and in every field," guild president, D. Stephen K. Yanthan in a statement said.
