UBC PEREN: Union Baptist Church (UBC) Peren town at the 58th annual council held at Mkuilongdi village has affiliated to Zeme Baptist Churches Council Nagaland (ZBCC, N). The church members also thanked Mr and Mrs Leo Elunglung for donating 20 plastic chairs and Rs.10,000, Mr and Mrs Ciyihei Ipuing for donating Rs.10,000, Mr and Mrs Apui Liegise for donating Rs.2000, Mr and Mrs Irai Hingleu for donating Rs.3000 and Mr and Mrs Ahu Thou for donating Rs.1000. VBC: Viyito Baptist Church (VBC) youth department has expressed gratitude to Niuland Area Citizen’s Forum (NACF) convenor V.Atoka Tuccu for the financial help towards ‘Youth Special Project 2009’. JAIL INMATES KOHIMA: The inmates of District Jail Kohima have thanked various NGOs, churches, organizations and individuals for their love, financial, material support and prayers. A release by the inmates assured that they would aspire to be an asset to the society as their compensation. PWD RESIDENTS: Residents of PWD colony, Dimapur, has extended gratitude to various individuals and departments for their help rendered during the fire incident on February 12 in the locality. The colony’s GB, Z. Tonivi Chophi, on behalf of the residents through a press release has especially thanked fire service department and police for their timely intervention, Residential colony, Dimapur, for relief money and materials and also to the public of the colony for their material and financial support. UNITED COLONY GBS: GBs of United Colony, Ward-20, Dimapur, has extended its appreciations to DMC member of Ward No.20, G. Kits, for his tireless gestures in clearing the drainage between S.M Sector and Medical Colony, Dimapur, with assistance from DMC members and workers. According to a press release issued by GB of the ward, T. Kenneth Tsopoe, the drain was causing health hazards including flood thereby affecting the colonies every year due to non clearance of the drainage at the same time requested concerned authorities to take such kind of gestures in future for the interest and welfare of all concerned. The release also requested all concerned authorities taking such kind activities to consult the council authorities so that the council may also take its own responsibilities. PMU: Pongo Mothers’ Union (PMU) Longleng, Tamlu Mothers’ Union (TMU) Tamlu and Bhumnyu Mothers’ Union (BMU) Longleng, Orangkong Mothers’ Union (OMU) Longleng and Yaongyimchen Mothers’ Union (YMU) Longleng has expressed gratitude to Yingli Mission Society (YMS) for organizing Awareness Generation Programme (AGP) on January 21, February 14, January 22, January 20 and January 14 respectively under the sponsorship of central social welfare board, New Delhi. The unions in a release have expressed hope for more such programmes in the future. Toshiho village: The Toshiho village, under Niuland sub-division, has extended gratitude to K. Hollohon, for the development of the approach road of the village under the scheme of LADF. ENEUU: Eastern Nagaland Educated Unemployed Union (ENEUU) has extended its gratitude to advisor, DUDA and VG, EE Pangteang Konyak, for gracing the 1st seminar of Eastern Nagaland Educated Unemployed Union (ENEUU) held on February 6 on the theme “Self Reliance is the only answer to eradicate unemployed Problems.” The union in a press release issued by its general secretary (admn), Wangdun Konyak, has also appreciated L. Tsepong Sangtam, OSD to CM (BW) for his presence, director, horticulture, senior inspector, DIC Tuensang, and SMS, KVK Scientist, Tuensang, and also to the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio for funding and giving moral support. Meanwhile, the release also added that nine members of educated unemployed youths of the region undertook farmers’ training at Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM), Dolabar, Tezpur (Assam) from February 9 to 13 on the topic “Multiple Cropping” for which the agri department has also thanked them for providing opportunity and for sponsoring the trainees.
