Thirty five days after decamping with three service sten carbines, three magazines with 220 rounds of ammunition, renegade bodyguard Mukhe Yim who was attached with DC Tuensang, has given a statement that he has “surrendered to the national workers” “ in Paktai hills” . Mukhe fled on January 17 allegedly “owing to the ill treatment in various forms, including foul language by the deputy commissioner” he said in a statement. Further, Mukhe said two of his colleagues should not be blamed or suspended because he “took the weapons” from the DC’s box. He also said his action should reflect on the ENPO resolution or on other NGOs, SP and DEF Tuensang. Mukhe also termed as violation of human rights the warning of the DC to arrest his family and banning the village and warned the DC of consequences.
