Slamming the Congress for predicting a crisis within DAN after the by polls, the NPF instead advised the opposition to keep its own house in order. NPF associate press secretary Shilumar reminded that previous predictions of the Congress always boomeranged on itself. Shilumar also reminded that the former CLP leader I Imkong engineered defection from NPF by bribing ten disgruntled NPF MLAs before the election to the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The NPF also said I Imkong was the main architect of the failed Nagaland Progressive Alliance and held him responsible for imposition of President’s rule in the state before the last Assembly election. It further said the Congress Party never allowed the regional party to complete its full term and imposed central rule in the state for fourth time whenever regional party was in power. The NPF also said the “powerful image” of the three BJP MPs displaying packets of money in the Lok Sabha allegedly paid by the Congress Party to some MPs to clear the Indo-US nuclear deal was still fresh in the minds of the people. It was even fresher in the minds of the Naga people because Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland W Wangyuh Konyak was one the MPs who surrendered to the allurement tactics of the Congress Party. The NPF further said the Congress Party should never impose their culture of lies, deceit and false propaganda on the Naga people.
