Rally for Sourabhee in Dimapur today DIMAPUR: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) in association with Dimapur Tripura Borok Society (DTBS) would be organising a “car rally” for Indian Idol finalist Sourabhee Debbarma on February 27 at 9 a.m. from Shan Complex near Metro Hospital, Dimapur. Dimapur Naga Students’ Union while stating that Sourabhee belonged to indigenous tribe from Tripura and hailing from northeast region has appealed to the citizens of Dimapur to participate in the car rally and vote for her. According to a Dimapur Naga Students’ Union release the rally would set off from Shan complex and proceed to Chumukedima and vice versa. Meanwhile, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union has also felicitated Remo Ghosh for bringing laurels to Dimapur and further prayed for success in his future endeavour. Teens Voice of Reason TUENSANG: The first ever ‘Teens Voice of Reason’ would be held from April 3. Auditions would be conducted at Noklak on April 3, 2:30 pm, 3rd NAP camp on April 7, 9:30 a.m and Tuensang on April 10, 9:30 a.m. The show is being organised by the finalist of Eastern Highway stars on the theme ‘identity of existence’ with Hanung Khiam as the coordinator. Entry fee of rupees 100 would be charged. The age limit for the participants would be 13- 19 years, said the organisers. Free text books for Peren schools DIMAPUR: All schools under DIS Peren has been informed to collect free text books from the office of DIS Peren, Apeuna Iheilung from March 1 for classes A to VIII. All head masters of the Government High Schools under Peren have been directed to submit enrolment of 2008 from class V-VIII to collect the free books. Weaving training in Mokokchung DIMAPUR: General Manager District Industries and Commerce, Mokokchung has invited applicants for female candidates, for training on weaving artisans to be conducted on April 1 at Weaving Training Centre, Mokokchung. The applicant should be 18 to 25 years of age and class VIII passed. An official bulletin informed that last date of submission of application would be on March 20 and interview on March 24 at 11 a.m. All necessary documents are to be produced at the interview. NCSU Wokha, Tsg support ultimatum DIMAPUR: Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) of Wokha and Tuensang units have supported the ultimatum submitted by NCSU central in regard to payment of NCSU pending bills by Nagaland government to the tune of more than Rs.12.21 crores. Both the NCSU units in a press release said that the decision to support the agitation was made at an emergency meeting held on February 23 for Wokha unit. Meanwhile, the Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union Tuensang unit would continue its indefinite agitation that was suspended earlier in regard to non-fulfilment of its demand within the stipulated time. DKL DIMAPUR: General meeting of Dimapur Lizütomi Kughakulu has been convened on February 28 at 10 a.m. All members have been informed to attend the meeting. DVC DIMAPUR: General meeting of Dikoi village has been convened on March 11 at 11 a.m at T.L Angami Park, New Chumukedima. All Dikoi villagers have been requested to attend the meeting. Informing this in a press release council chairman Phelutso Angami and secretary A.Z Angami has requested GB of Dikoi village Pranio to submit his report especially for ‘repeated destruction of houses’ within the Dikoi village. DCC DIMAPUR: Meeting of Congress people and party workers of Dimapur III A/C has been convened at the office of DCC on March 2 at 11 a.m. All party members and Congress supporters have been requested to attend a meeting. PDTA DIMAPUR: General meeting of Phek District Timber Association (PDTA) which was scheduled on February 28 has been postponed to March 9 at ADC Conference Hall, Pfutsero Town at 11.00 am. All members of PDTA have been requested to be present at the election. SKK DIMAPUR: Election of All Sumi Students Union (SKK) has been postponed to March 3 at 10 a.m at the office of the Western Sumi Students Union, Dimapur.
