JTBC in semifinals: Football for Bible

Jalukie Town Baptist Church (JTBC) entered into semifinal after defeating Tangkhul BYF (4-2) by a penalty shoot-out after both teams were locked goalless in the regulated time of 60 minutes, in the ongoing Football for Bible 2009, played at DDSC Stadium, here Wednesday. The tournament is being organized by Bible Society of India, Dimapur Auxiliary Resource Mobilization Committee (RMC). In the penalty shoot out JTBC found the net through Keyigumgnangbe, Ayi (man of the match), Ereu Zeliang and Rock Ipuing, while the goals for Tangkhul BYF were netted by Reisang and Athung. In the other match, Northern Angami Baptist Church blanked Borlengri Ao Baptist Church 2-0 to enter into the quarterfinal. The goals for Northern Angami Baptist Church were scored by Mukom and Wilson in the 3rd and 57th minutes respectively. Wilson also received the first yellow card of the tournament right after one minute from his goal. Yarmen of Borlengri Ao Baptist Church was adjudged the man of the match. Northern Angami Baptist Church will now take on Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur in the quarterfinal match. The winner will face JTBC in semifinals.
