Application invited for stenography training
DIMAPUR: General manager district Industries centre, Kohima has invited application for indigenous local candidate of Kohima district for undergoing nine months training in stenography starting April 1. Interview would be conducted on Mach 27 from 11 a.m at the official chamber of general manager I. Bendangliba, district industries centre Kohima. Candidates should be matriculate and above. General Manager has informed that training would be non-residential and a stipend of rupees 500 per month would be provided to the selected candidate. The general manager further informed that the training was being imparted for self employment and there would be no guarantee for any job by the department. Candidates have been informed to submit application with two recent passport photos with educational qualification and testimony certificate to the general manager on or before March 24.
Admn, PHED supply drinking water to Mkg
DIMAPUR: On observing the acute scarcity of water supply in Mokokchung town, the district administration Mokokchung in collaboration with PHED Mokokchung distributed drinking water to the public in all wards of Mokokchung town alternately. The PHED has informed that it would soon restore the damaged water supply pipeline at Rembu near Dikhu River and has requested the public to bear with the department for the inconvenience caused.

DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of all affected by the length of service retirement of state government employees has been convened at the state academy hall on March 9 at 10 a.m. Informing this in a press release, convenor Roko Pier additional secretary, PHE said the meeting would discuss issues pertaining to length of service retirement.
NPYC ‘expels’ Peren DYC president
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has expelled Peren District Youth president, Hiarutlang allegedly for his ‘anti-party’ activities for a period of six years. The decision to expel the youth president was taken in an emergency meeting held March on 5. NPYC vice president (media) in a press statement informed that the house also resolved to let general secretary in-charge of Peren, Rosy Thomson to take in-charge of Peren DYC office with effect from March 6 until new president was appointed.
