Inter state farmers'' exposure tour

Agri-culture Technology Mission Agency (ATMA) Mokokchung is sponsoring a five day Inter State Farmers Exposure Tour to Assam & Meghalaya comprising 24 farmers (4 farmers each from 6 blocks under Mokokchung district) led by team leader Dr. Aoyimsen Jamir. The purpose of the tour is to let farmers see agricultural technologies adopted by farmers in other states, especially by those neighboring states having similar agro-eco situation. The tour is also aimed creating awareness among farmers of new technologies adopted in research farms, and also to increase knowledge, skill and attitude of the farmers. The tour started Tuesday today and was flagged off by Project Director ATMA Mokokchung N. Tekatoshi. The itinerary of the tour include visiting Rural Resource Centre at Umran, Flori and Strawberry Units at Dewlieh, Piggery & Poultry Farms at Khrydemkulai, Botanical and Zoological Park at Guwahati and attend the National Horti Expo at Guwahati.
