DC Dmu stresses on bringing changes in education

DC Dimapur Maongwati Aier urged teachers, parents and elders to dedicate themselves in bringing up younger generation to bring about change in the field of education. He was speaking at the inauguration of newly upgraded Government Middle School constructed under SSA 2007-08 at Kiyeto village under Dhansaripar Sub-Division on February 9. In his inaugural speech, the chief guest expressed gratitude to the government for taking initiative towards implementing the scheme through SSA civic fund under which scheme, many school benefited in different ways. The chief guest also congratulated VEC and education department for their effort and cooperation extended during the up gradation of GMS and completion of the new building. DC expressed hope that Kiyeto village would become a model village in the near future. According to an official bulletin, DC interacted with the officers and staff, DBs and VCs regarding the functioning of their respective duties and also on law and order situation under Dhansaripar sub-division. The DC further urged the representatives of GBs and VECs to extend their support and cooperation with the administrative officers and also to protect the government property as it was a common property. Other dignitaries present in the inauguration were MLA-III Dimapur A/C, Azheto Zhimomi, DIS Dimapur and Co-ordinator, Khetoli Sumi and Hoketo, BDO and his team. The function was chaired by Benjamin Aye and vote of thanks was proposed by Vizheto Kiho.
