Two civilians were killed when NSCN (I-M) activists attacked the Federal Naga Army on February 7, at a Rest place between Somra and Tusom village, the NNC alleged Wednesday. According to NNC member, Thomas, two innocent Naga civilians identified as M. Sinoi Poh of Somra village and M. Jopoah of Pansat village were killed by the NSCN (I-M) while they were preparing food at the Rest place. “But the so-called NSCN (I-M) group pretentiously claimed that they have killed two Naga Army personnel of FGN”, the NNC said. The NNC member said the two deceased were cooking food at the Rest place and the Federal Naga Army who were on “special mission” towards Somra track from Tusom village, Wung (Tangkhul) region also reached the place, when NSCN (I-M) armed men came and attacked them. The NNC said that M. Sinoi Poh was killed on the spot as reported by the villagers while the body of M. Jopoah was untraceable till date. It also said that Jopoah might have been taken away by the NSCN (I-M) and killed at an unknown place. “This killing sounded again that the IM group does not stop killing their own fellow Nagas uptill now”, the NNC said.
