Tribalism should not come in the way of dev: Torechu

Parliamentary Secretary, CAWD, T. Torechu said tribalism should not come in the way of development but people should co-operate with one another to bring in a feeling of oneness amongst the people. He was speaking at the inauguration of Agri-link road (4 kms) of Yungyang Project under NREGS 2007-08 at Tuensang village on February 12, the inauguration programme was held in Yungyang paddy field. Calling upon the people to work for unity, peace and development with a competitive spirit to erase ‘backwardness’, Torechu said DAN government had a special concern for less developed region and poor farmers, therefore many schemes were introduced for their betterment . Amongst the schemes, NREGS was one of the most beneficial which had benefited people in rural and villages, in this regard he congratulated the RD department and the villages. Parliamentary secretary for ipr, economics & statistic, R. Tohanba who also spoke in the function expressed happiness and thanked the people of Tuensang for excellent completion of NREGS 2007-08 scheme. Project Director, DRDA Tuensang, president, Tuensang village citizens union and vice president, NPF Youth Wing, H. Wongto also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, a community hall of L. Khel Tuensang village constructed under BRGF 2007-08 was inaugurated by parliamentary secretary, CAWD, T. Torechu. SDO (C), Tuensang, President TBCU, Vice President, NPF Youth Wing also spoke on the occasion.
