192 GB High-Speed SSD launched

Transcend has announced its new 192 GB high speed solid state drive (SSD), which comes with NAND flash memory, in the Indian market. The SSD is also resistant to mechanical failure resulting from vibration, shock or heat. Moreover, it is compatible with SATA II, and offers high-speed transfer rate. The company claims that this newly launched MLC-equipped 192GB SSD reads at the speed of 150 MB per second, while it writes at the speed of 90 MB per second. It also has a strong new controller that surpasses standard 2.5” hard drives. The 192 GB SSD also has built-in ECC (Error Correction Code) that guarantee accurate data transfer, and its wear-leveling technology make sure an ultra-long storage lifespan and long-term reliability. The new SSD, which claims to consume less power, has a latency of about 0.2ms that permits the PC to boot up at a fast rate and games to run more efficiently. Its technical specifications include non-volatile flash memory for exceptional data retention, Backed by 2 year warranty, the Transcend 192 GB high-speed 2.5 inch SSD is priced at Rs 37,000 at Transcend distributors including Su-pertron, Mediaman and Bharti Teletech.
