GPRN/NSCN has condemned the NSCN (I-M)’s attack upon its cadres at Yimkha village under Wokha district on Sunday. Publicity cell of the GPRN/NSCN said its personnel who were taking rest at Yimkha village were attacked by the NSCN (I-M) activists right in the middle of the village.
The publicity cell said its activists were on their way to Chukitong designated camp in Lotha Region acknowledging the recent meeting of CFSB and the GPRN/NSCN representatives which advocated recalling of cadres at designated camps. It said there was no injury either to the Naga Army cadres or civilians.
The publicity cell said the attack was a latest reminder to the Nagas that the NSCN (I-M) was neither willing to listen to the voice of the Naga people for cessation of hostilities nor respect the agreed ceasefire ground rules with the government of India.
It urged the Naga frontal organizations spearheading reconciliation and unity process to clearly identify and point out the hurdles and obstacles at hand.
