TTC directives to ease traffic congestion DIMAPUR: To ease traffic congestion at tower clock area in Tuensang, Chairman, Tuensang Town Council has issued notification on parking of taxis and buses. Local taxi/ mini bus except Sao Chang College bus plying from Tower Clock to 3rd NAP Sector/ Police check post are to shift their parking place from Tower Clock near ‘Welcome Gate’, Tuensang. Mini trucks have been barred from parking at roadside area within the town. For which, all owners/drivers are directed to park their vehicles at the newly constructed parking zone near the Cemetery, Tuensang with immediate effect. Further, trucks coming from outside area/plain area have been informed to follow the timing for unloading goods in the morning between 5 a.m and 7 a.m and evening time between 3 p.m and 6 p.m. Trucks from other places would not be allowed to park on the roadsides within the town area except outside the town. All owners/drivers of the vehicles both government and private have been directed to drive their vehicle at a speed rate of 15-20 Km/hr speed within the town area, vehicles exceeding 20 Km/hr. speed within the town area has been prohibited to ensure public safety. Peren DC bans arms DIMAPUR: In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha election and to maintain peace and tranquility in the district, Peren deputy commissioner has enforced ban on carrying of weapons by any individuals/groups till the election process ends. DC Peren N. Mesen in a release asserted that violation of the order would lead to seizure of arms/weapons and the person would be panelized as per the provision of law. Awareness on PMEGP DIMAPUR: Awareness programme with educated unemployed, NGOs, VDBs and public leaders for implementation of PMEGP schemes has been convened at Government Secondary School auditorium, Tuensang on March 27 at 10 a.m. General Manager, District Industries Centre Tuensang has directed all administrative heads in the Sub-division to notify VDBs and public leaders about the programme.
