Fellowship colony general meet DIMAPUR: A general body meeting of all the members and residents of Fellowship colony has been convened on March 21, 3 p.m. at the residence of Temsu Jamir, chairman Fellowship colony. Further, all have been requested to attend the meeting. Asha training DIMAPUR: The third batch of Asha training under Peren district would be held from March 23 to 30, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Peren town hall. Dr. Tiala Longkumer, deputy CMO Peren has requested all those who had missed the second to forth module training to attend the convened training. PMEGP awareness programme DIMAPUR: For implementation of Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Programme (PMEGP) schemes by the KVIC/KVIB/DIC along with NGOs under Longleng district an awareness programme has been convened on March 26, 10 a.m. at Sub-District Industries Centre (SDIC), Longleng. D. Longtok Phom, manager SDIC Longleng has requested all the educated unemployed and VBD secretaries from the villages to attend the programme. NPF youth meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) youth wing of 3 Dimapur III A/C has been convened on March 21, 9 a.m. at residence of Azheto Zhimomi, NPF candidate. Vezota Chuzho, president NPF youth wing 3 Dimapur III A/C has requested all the office bearers to attend the meeting. VCSB informs DIMAPUR: Village Council Seitheke Basa (VCSB) has informed all land or plot owners within the jurisdiction of the village to register with the council with fees of rupees five hundred before the end of April at the council office from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wezope S. Elah, council chairman in a press release has further stated that owners failing to comply with the order, the council would not be held responsible for any dispute or misunderstanding. YTSUD annual function cum parting social DIMAPUR: Yimchungru Theological Students’ Union Dimapur (YTSUD) has convened its 14th annual function-cum parting social on March 21, 9:30a.m at Yimchungre Baptist Church Dimapur, half Nagarjan. Vongtsuthong, president YTSUD has requested all the office bearers, pastor, women pastor (leader), youth director of Dimapur area and all Yimchungru theological students to attend the function. The union further urged the head of institutions to grant leave for students. Tenure of panel on job reservation extended DIMAPUR: The Government of Nagaland has extended the tenure of the committee on job reservation for a period of 11 (eleven) months with effect from November 19, 2008 to submit its report, suggesting a proper benchmark or yardstick for determining backwardness for the purpose under the chairmanship of Kerielie Kevichusa, IAS (Rtd). According to an official bulletin, other terms and reference of the committee will remain the same. This was issued by the Department of P&AR on March 17. BJP state meet DIMAPUR: In view of the ensuing Parliamentary general elections and bye elections to four NLA constituencies, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state has convened a meeting on March 24, 2:00 pm at the official residence of M.C. Konyak, BJP legislators leader and minister for Forests, Wildlife, Ecology,& Environment and Excise, Nagaland, Kohima. BJP state general secretary, T.L. Merry has requested all BJP district presidents and general secretaries, frontal chiefs, legislators and state office bearers to attend the meeting. Rottomi amalimi meet DIMAPUR: Meeting of Rottomi son-in-laws (Dimapur) for Ahuna has been convened on March 21, 10 a.m. at the residence of Hoshito Aye, Treasury Officer, Chekiye village Aqhasa. D. Jambo Sema, Village Chairman has requested all to attend the meeting. RJD 3 Dimapur III A/C meet DIMAPUR: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) 3 Dimapur III A/C has convened a meeting on March 21, 10 a.m. at the residence of Hetoi, president RJD 3 Dimapur III A/C. N.C. Zhehuto Sumi, secretary general RJD 3 Dimapur III A/C has requested all office bearers from mahila, youth and parent body to attend the meeting and further informed the party workers to contact him on 9856567407. Easter fasting on divine revelation DIMAPUR: Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) has called for Easter fasting on divine revelation from April 10 to 12 at 24 hours prayer watchtower, NCRC campus 7th mile Riiveba, Dimapur. Rev. Dr. N. Paphino, president NCRC has requested all the prayer house or centre to send delegates to pray and fast for the peace of Nagaland. AITC declares candidate for LS poll DIMAPUR: Former 14th Lok Sabha independent candidate, Dr. Rilanthung in a press note has declared that he would be contesting in the forth coming Lok Sabha parliamentary election from Nagaland under All Indian Trinamool Congress (AITC) under the party chief, Mamata Banerjee. NPF Kohima meet DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) Kohima division has convened a meeting of division campaign committee on March 24, 12 p.m. at NPF central office, Kohima followed by a meeting of all division, parent, youth, women and all area unit office bearers with the consensus DAN candidate, C.M. Chang at 2 p.m. Theyiekielie Tachu, member secretary campaign committee, Kohima has requested all the responsible office bearers to attend the meeting. Disposal of loose soil on NH- 39 DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Sachopra Vero has issued a notification stating that the district administration has come to notice that public are still continuing to dispose loose soil and construction rubbles on National Highway from kilometer 179 to 180 km of Dimapur - Kohima road causing inconveniences for undertaking repair work of the road which is to commence very shortly. According to an official bulletin, the DC has ordered public to stop this practice and failing to comply with this order would entail legal action as deemed fit. PHED Dimapur informs on water supply DIMAPUR: Sub-divisional officer, PHED, Dimapur, has informed the public that the adequate water supply would not be possible due to renovation work of the main line pipes and sedimentation tank at PHED treatment palnt complex at Chumukedima. The SDO, Phed, Dimapur, in a press communiqué has requested the consumers to bear till the situation improves.
