Anomalies detected in book

Anomalies detected in the ‘Statistical Handbook of Nagaland’ has been taken serious note of at an emergency meeting convened by additional chief secretary and Development Commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir with administrative heads and heads of department in the secretariat conference hall Kohima Thursday. According to an official bulletin, Alemtemshi Jamir pointed out that the wrong figures reflected poorly not only on the planning process of the state but that since the statistics were used for processing the Gross Domestic Product(GDP), there was an urgent need for its review. The anomalies were highlighted in the power point presentation during which the failing to do justice. During the meeting some senior officers suggested that proper training be given to statistical officers and field staff, saying many of them are not trained, the bulletin added.
