Taking the recent NPSC answer script swap scam to the streets and demanding exemplary punishment to the culprits involved , the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) staged a protest demonstration at the old MLA’s Hostel Junction here Friday . Carrying placards, hundreds of students joined the rally which was addressed by several student activists. Students carried placards some of which read: “Admit your wrongs and let thousands Nagas live a dignified life,” ; “NPSC, a reputed market for the rich,”; “Award exemplary punishment to the culprits,” ; “Discard corrupt NPSC employees.”. Addressing the rally, NSF president Imchatoba Imchen said that the students have come out to register their protest and fight for justice for a better future of the society. He said the NSF was fighting for justice in the premier recruitment institute of the state. Imchatoba said the Federation was committed to building a corrupt-free NPSC and affirmed its commitment for the future and better tomorrow. The Federation is committed to sacrifice at any cost for “our future”, he said. Venting out its dissatisfaction with the ongoing process of investigation, Imchatoba asserted that the Federation would not tolerate the reported threats on the officials of the commission and investigating agency. He appealed to all to stand together to uproot the corrupt practices prevalent the society. “Let us clean NPSC for once and all,” he added. Former ASU president, Kezhazer Angami who also spoke on the occasion, appealed to the students to extend their full support to NSF and give their mandate to go ahead with the move so as to bring about justice and fair deal in the premier institution NPSC. President Pochury Students Union (PSU), president DNSU, President Angami Students’ Union (ASU), president CSU, president AKM and president ANCSU addressed the rally. NSF general secretary Hetoi Chishi led the programme at the protest demonstration which also witnessed shouting of slogan “We want Justice!” .
