KSU Martyrs Trophy Dimapur, Mar 21 (NPN): The 10th edition of the Kyong Students’ Union Martyrs Trophy has been scheduled from April 2 with Mhathung Kithan IAS, Commissioner and secretary, Transport and communication as the chief guest. The event would include football for men and volleyball for women and men, marathon race for both men and women. The interested individual, teams, club, organization and sports lovers are requested to collect the form from KSU office, upper crest complex. The tournament would include attractive cash prize, trophy along with certificates. Best keeper, defender, midfield, striker, highest scorer, player of the tournament and upcoming player in football would be awarded and for volleyball section best libero, spiker, setter and player of the tournament would be awarded as well as for Marathon race (1st to 10th position). Celestial club cricket tourney Dimapur, MAR 21 (NPN): Celestial club is organizing its 2nd challenger cup in collaboration with SMILE, Nagaland under the theme, “let’s bowled out HIV/AIDS” from March 31. The entry fee would be Rs.3000/- while the champions will be awarded Rs.30,000, Runner up Rs.10,000, semi finalists (both loser) Rs.2000/- each, best discipline team Rs.2000, best bowler, batsman, wicket keeper will be awarded Rs.500 each and Rs.1000 will be awarded to the Man of the tournament. Benjamin Zou president Celestial club in a press release has informed that the forms would be available at Quality care-Razhu point, café-inn high school, sports world-taxi stand, Kohima. 1st Citizens cup Dimapur, Mar 21 (NPN): The first Citizens Cup organized by Peraciezie Youth Organization was declared open at Govt. Higher Secondary School ground Kohima by Pudusal Sothu. He appreciated and lauded the club for organizing and encouraging the youths in the field of sports. He also urged them to avail such opportunity and explore their talents to become a professional in their respective games and sports. Sonhie president PYO called upon the players to let the spirit of harmony prevail among the society. D.Shupao, general secretary PYO later encouraged the youths to take up sports as their profession and to make opportunities through sports. TT coaching camp extended Dimapur, Mar 21 (NPN): Table Tennis coaching camp which was schedule for March 30 to April 4 has been extended till April 9. The Kohima District Table Tennis Association will be organizing the coaching camp in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland.
