Truckers to get visiting cards on March 22

Confederation of Dimapur Truck Owners and Goods Movers Association would be issuing visiting -cum- redressal card to all truckers, both local and national carriers with effect from March 22. Member secretary confederation of Dimapur truck owners & goods movers association, Khekaho Aye said, the decision to issue the cards was taken at an emergency meeting held on March 21. All truckers have been requested to collect the card in order to avail amenities such as assistance in the form of relief and aid to truckers during accident and other problems related to trucker’s welfare free of cost. The card would be issued at all its branch/ unit offices located at all strategic areas, as well as from the main head office and for further information in this regard, truckers have been requested to contact the employees manning the offices and avail it personally at the offices or contact the association at 9862777041, 9436066705 and 9856364150. All the agencies, whether government or NGOs have been requested to extend cooperation during the disbursement of the card, stating it concerned not only the welfare of trucker fraternity but also general public as its sole purpose was for the furtherance of business community and had direct impact on the economy of Dimapur and other districts of Nagaland.
