A candidate who had appeared for test for the post of LDA-cum-Computer Operator under the Police department, has threatened to file a write petition in the court after the appellate process under the RTI Act was completed. According to a statement, the candidate Tovito Chophy alleged that “two non existent” candidates bearing chest numbers 621 and 622 were also declared passed. He claimed that his number-619 was the second last, ahead of another candidate with chest No.620 and therefore, sought verification of answer scripts of the 26 candidates. On verification, Tovito stated it was discovered that he had secured 5 marks out of 4 and in another, his answers though correct were shown as wrong. His request to see the answer scripts of dubious candidates Nos.621 and 622 was denied, he alleged. He then approached the Appellate Authority of the RTI. Further, Tovito claimed that his request to the department not to proceed with the viva voce till the answer scripts were reviewed and due marks allotted, was turned down. The department later declared the results and among the successful candidates were allegedly those of chest Nos.621 and 622, he alleged.
